It's Important to Consciously Ignore What's Going on in the World
As a Means of Contributing Value.

I met a dude today who worked on the Celebrity Game Show. Or, what you might know as the Presidential Election in the “United” States of America. And I was so excited to tell him about my latest Self Friendship article, When Standards, Romance, and U.S. Politics Perspective Dance… — so I told him and I further shared, “you can watch, listen, or read. It’s 30 minutes long. Enjoy!”
He said, “why is it so long?”
I said, “well, if you really want, you could probably start halfway through and you’ll get the idea, but you won’t be able to appreciate the whole picture (: “
He says, “well, in MY opinion…” —(SO AMERICAN!)— “…well, my opinion is very to the point and I don’t feel a need to explain myself.”
I said, “I totally understand. My piece is not my opinion, nor is it me explaining myself. Give it a watch… then get back to me.”
In honor of this magnificent and effortless interaction, I felt inspired to reiterate the invaluable piece of art, my art-icle, focusing on just the Perspective Dance between the feminine energy, U.S. Citizens, and the masculine energy, U.S. Government, and see how we go.
You in?…
…While I’ve touched on the balance of masculine and feminine energies in a romantic context, we can apply this balance, along with our willingness to upgrade, to the relationship between U.S. Citizens and U.S. politics, specifically this Presidential Election—what I’ll be referring to as a Celebrity Game Show throughout the rest of this piece.
I’m not personally running… walking, crawling, skipping, hopping, or cartwheeling to become President of the United States of America.
…I’m…invading society. (Just for fun.)
Like an alien invasion, but a Blizzard ft. sparkly-Planit-Butter-air-balloons and volcanoes.
A human Blizzard named Blizzard Planit from Planit Butter, a world made of sparkly peanut butter.
I am invading society and hypnotizing everyone into becoming best friends with themselves—practicing critical thinking, creative thinking, and being relentlessly optimistic—as each individual consciously creates their world, their Planit, their state of Blissorance—which means living in harmony with oneself.
A society rooted in Intucentricism—Planit Butter’s expression of selfishness—centering on following our intuition while pursuing self-expression and self-control, as a means of contributing to the expansion of society, rather than society as it currently stands, rooted in, as I call it, egocentricism—the familiar form of selfishness, self-absorbed, unconscious, and disconnected from others.
With the understanding of Planit Butter’s “invasion”, we can further integrate how our commitment to our boundaries and our awareness of masculine and feminine energies interact with our conscious ignorance—which is knowing and choosing to neglect anything that does not fuel our alignment—our role in the ever-expansive universe, as it relates to U.S. Citizens and the U.S. Government…
It seems to me that societal conversations focused on equality between men and women are more commonly focused on sameness rather than on the expansiveness that transformational partnerships would create, which by default, is equality. These conversations neglect the necessity for true partnership of the masculine and feminine energies. Again, teamwork.
Equals. Mutually independent leaders with different responsibilities.
“IT’S IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE WORLD.” — Many humans…Occasionally to me.
…As I live my life on a tiny island off the coast of Indonesia in Southeast Asia, building the Planit Butter empire—yeah, empire. Cultivating the Self Friendship Renaissance.
…I’m a woman with a sparkly-peanut-butter imagination and societal-shifting actions.
Occasionally considered “uninformed” for what I see as conscious ignorance of politics occurring in my home country, the United States of America.
Though ‘United’ is a strong word for that country to use at this time.
Conscious ignorance is knowing and choosing to neglect anything that does not fuel our alignment—our role in the ever-expansive universe.
Conscious ignorance, in and of itself, activates our Self Friendship practice through the three core methods…
With knowledge comes clarity of our boundaries,
while choice demonstrates honoring our boundaries—the first core method.
In honoring our boundaries, we fuel our confidence—the second core method.
In embodying confidence, we connect with our alignment—the third core method.
Conscious ignorance is not a lack of knowledge.
It is a choice to not engage with knowledge as a means of contributing value to society and improving our culture.
This is where Blissi comes in. Blissi is the name of Planit Butter’s mascot, the disco ball-of-self-reflection.
